I’m Erique Swart, and this is my passion project—a creative studio born from a love for visual storytelling, artistic expression, and the natural beauty of flowers. From transforming events into unforgettable experiences with bespoke event styling and/or floral designs to crafting immersive film sets as a Production Designer and Art Director, my journey has always been about merging creativity with meticulous detail.
At Hare Curated, we don’t just design events or film sets—we cultivate them. My journey into floral design began as a pivot during 2020, driven by a desire to bring more nature into my work. As I dove into floristry, I found myself deeply inspired by the art of growing flowers, leading me to start cultivating my own blooms. What began as a hobby in my garden evolved into a full-fledged passion for sustainable cut-flower growing. Today, I grow a variety of flowers, nurturing each plant with care and using them in my designs to ensure they’re as fresh and vibrant as possible. Although what started as only test beds at my home has now transpired into me growing on a slightly larger scale in growing tunnels in the west of Johannesburg, I still continue to grow in my test beds at home various varieties of flowers and once I am happy that I like the flowers or cultivars I then move my selection to the growing tunnels, that keep expanding.
